- Make sure to check your program as you plan your day! It contains the subject, times, locations, and names of panelists and their organizations.
- Come early to collect information and chat. This is a great time to get a glimpse of local professionals in the writing community.
- Take time to check out the fair in the foyer. Guest organizations will have tables in the foyer that you can peruse.
- Check out the panels. They work on a part interview/ part Q & A format. No matter where you are in your journey as a writer, there’s something of interest.
- Don’t be afraid to ask questions! We’re here to encourage your journey as a writer, and your questions help us craft a conference that works for you.
- Stop by the Boldface table to secure a copy of the latest work from our featured writers. If you catch them at the conference, they may just sign it for you.
After soaking up the knowledge and inspiration of professionalization day, make sure to come celebrate your accomplishments at the farewell party! Hopefully, you’ve garnered feedback and direction from your workshops, picked up new tools from craft talks and master classes, learned about the steps you can take to further your development as a writer.
